CNCC falls on the road at USU Eastern

The Lady Spartans took to the road to start this year's Scenic West conference play Tuesday night against the Eagles of Utah State University Eastern.
First quarter action saw an undersized CNCC team battle with USU Eastern on the glass and seeking to trade baskets. Second quarter action would see the Lady Spartans stall out offensively, shooting a woeful 3/15 from the field. USU Eastern on the other hand would heat up from 3 point range, connecting on 4/7 attempts to take a 34-20 lead into halftime.

Third quarter saw similar offensive struggles for the Lady Spartans, with a continued offensive onslaught by the Eagles who again connected on 4/7 from three point field goal range. By the 4^th quarter the game was already decided, allowing both teams to play their entire rosters, ending CNCC's two game win streak with a final score of 82-51.
CNCC was paced by Brandi Jordan (9 points, 6 rebounds), Courtney Freeman (8 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists), Kalee McEwan (9 points, 5 rebounds), and Cameron Tsosie (8 points, 1 steal).

The Lady Spartans are back in action at home on Thursday (02/11) as they host nationally ranked #14 Salt Lake Community College. Tipoff is set for 5pm MT in Hefley Gym.
