The Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) women's basketball program is proud to announce that Makenzie Castille has been named to the Region 18 Second Team All-Conference for the 2024-25 season. This recognition is a testament to Castille's hard work, dedication, and outstanding play throughout the season as she emerged as one of the top performers in the Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC).
A Breakout Season for the Spartans
In her first season with CNCC, Castille proved to be a consistent force on the court, starting in 27 games and making an impact in every facet of the game. She averaged 9.9 points per game, shooting 37.9% from the field and 37.0% from three-point range. From the free-throw line, she was one of the most efficient shooters in the conference, boasting an 85.4% free-throw percentage.
Beyond her scoring ability, Castille played a key role on the boards, averaging 5.2 rebounds per game while also contributing 0.7 assists per game. Whether knocking down clutch shots, battling for rebounds, or providing leadership on the floor, Castille helped elevate the Spartans' competitiveness throughout the season.

Head Coach Stephen Carter praised Castille's hard work and growth throughout the season, stating, "Makenzie has been a huge part of our team's success this year. She has a great all-around game and has consistently stepped up in big moments for us. Her ability to shoot, rebound, and compete at a high level makes her a deserving recipient of this All-Conference honor.
