Natasha Howard, two time WNBA champ and 2019 Defensive Player of the year, spoke to the CNCC Women's Basketball team about her journey to the WNBA. She advised the players to endure the grind. She shared how she came off the bench and had never given up on herself. Howard also gave advice about never questioning your past self. Your past is what sets you up to the person you are today.

"I was really impressed by her presentation and how she was able to relate to the student athletes. I was happy that she gave you and your team a very powerful message as she is preparing for another season in the WNBA. I also liked the fact that she told the girls to not let this quarantine affect their mind," said Rick Walker, former Jacksonville, FL coach.

Aiesha Fagins questioned Howard on what her current self would say to her past self. She said she would say "You did it. You go girl. Look at where you came from." Howard demonstrated the importance of self-motivation in the process to achieve success.

The second speaker was Darryl Hardin, co-owner of 1Family and creator of Ghost Player Development. He told the team about how his adopted family really impacted and changed his course of life. Coach Darryl also gave advice to the future coaches about using their resources after they graduate to get into the coaching field.

"I enjoyed him answering my question about the advice he would give himself. He said that he would tell himself to absorb the information. That will be the plan for my sophomore year, because I do dream of moving on and would like to increase my IQ before I end my junior college experience," said Courtney Freeman, returning sophomore.

The third speaker was Dorian 'Shante' Stevens-Williams. Former Florida State University player and now the head coach at powerhouse Jean Ribault in Jacksonville, Florida. Her conversation with the girls was about staying hungry. She asked each player on the call their favorite player, their strengths, and their weaknesses. She gave each player individual advice based on their responses.

"She was very funny. I enjoyed her being straight forward with the girls. I feel like we sugarcoat everything nowadays, and she was absolutely real with them," said Candra Robie, CNCC Athletic Director.
