RANGELY, Colo. (November 5, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College women's basketball team will play its home-opening game on Tuesday in Rangely, starting off a week of games across the western United States.
The Lady Spartans will face off against Western Wyoming Community College inside Hefley Gym on Tuesday before heading out for a tournament later in the week in Arizona. CNCC opened the season last weekend with an 0-2 mark in a tourney hosted by Western Wyoming, including losing a 72-56 decision to the Mustangs.

Sherryl Klosterman said her team is excited for the upcoming week, including playing in a regionally-competitive tournament in Arizona.
"We are looking forward to a home game this Tuesday," she said. "We feel confident getting to play on our home court. We depart for Yuma, Ariz., on Wednesday and we are looking to control tempo better in both games this weekend. Defensively, we will need to be more aggressive on the ball and in passing lanes."
The Arizona tourney will include a Friday game against Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Arizona Western College.Â
Colorado Northwestern's Tuesday game against Western Wyoming is scheduled for a start time of 5:00 p.m. Friday's game against Chandler-Gilbert has a scheduled tip of 1:30 p.m., with a Saturday tip of 5:30 p.m. against Arizona Western.Â
