RANGELY, Colo. (November 24, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College women's basketball team fell in a tournament finale late Saturday.
The Lady Spartans lost to host Lamar Community College, 91-75, in the conclusion to a weekend-long tournament. CNCC's overall record is now 0-12 with the loss.
CNCC started the game well, holding Lamar to just 38.7 percent shooting in the first-half while making 6-of-9 free throws. However, Lamar went on a tear in the second-half at the free-throw line to earn the victory.
Courtney Freeman finished with a team-high 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while
Alyssa Civitak scored 15 points. Courtney Lemon contributed 11 points and
Hope Bondurant had 10 points in the loss.
CNCC will play games on Monday and Tuesday at home inside Hefley Gym. The team will then have an off-period until December 6 for the Air Force Academy Prep School tourney.Â
