RANGELY, Colo (November 21, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College women's basketball team opened a preseason tourney with a tough loss on Thursday.

The Lady Spartans fell 93-64 to Western Texas College Thursday in the opening round of a tournament hosted by Lamar Community College. The loss drops CNCC's overall record to 0-10 to start the season.

Dani Russo played an outstanding game for Colorado Northwestern, finishing with 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Michaela Ladage finished with 12 points.

Colorado Northwestern will play Frank Phillips College on Friday at 3:00 p.m. The team will play host Lamar Community College at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
