RANGELY, Colo. (November 13, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College women's basketball team will be busy in a three-game tournament in Wyoming over the weekend.
After playing Lamar Community College in a home game Tuesday, the Lady Spartans will travel to Gillette, Wyo., over the weekend to play host Gillette College, Williston State College and Dawson Community College. The three games will be played from Thursday to Saturday.
After going 0-2 in a tourney with close games in Arizona, CNCC coach
Sherryl Klosterman said her program is excited for the upcoming trio of games.
"We feel confident and look to get on a roll this week," she said. "We are looking forward to the games."
Thursday's game against Gillette will be a good battle as both Gillette and CNCC battle in front of the home crowd, while Friday's Williston State matchup will be interesting as both program search for their first victory. Dawson is 2-3 entering the tournament with a win over Northwest College last weekend.
Thursday's game at Gillette is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start. The Lady Spartans will play Williston State on Friday at 1:30 p.m. and Dawson at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
