RANGELY, Colo. (October 19, 2019) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College volleyball team was downed by the defending NJCAA national champion Saturday.

Facing off against longtime power Southern Idaho, the Lady Spartans fell in a 3-0 decision to the Golden Eagles (14-25, 18-25,15-25) . The loss drops CNCC to just 4-16 overall and 1-6 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Brilynd Pence had a team-high 9 assists and 6 kills, while
Breanna Jessop finished with 5 kills. Haley Haea had a team-high 8 kills.
Braedyn Peters led the team with 17 digs and
Maddie Schneider had a couple aces.Â

Colorado Northwestern will travel to play at rival USU Eastern next weekend in a Saturday match. The Eagles are nationally-ranked.Â
