Spartan Volleyball Set to Close Home Schedule This Weekend

10/13/2025 12:00:00 PM

RANGELY, Colo. — The Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) volleyball team is set to host its final home matches of the 2025 season this weekend in Hefley Arena. The Spartans will welcome two powerhouse programs from the Scenic West Athletic Conference, beginning with College of Southern Idaho on Friday, October 17 at 5:00 p.m., followed by North Idaho College on Saturday, October 18 at 12:00 p.m.

Saturday's match will also serve as Sophomore Day, as CNCC celebrates the dedication and hard work of its second-year players who have helped lay the foundation for the growing Spartan volleyball program.

Under the direction of Head Coach Casey Quiggle, the Spartans have continued to build momentum and chemistry throughout the season, showing impressive energy and development against some of the nation's top junior college programs. With each match, CNCC has demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and a competitive edge that bodes well for the future of the program.

Fans are encouraged to pack Hefley Arena and create an electric home atmosphere one more time this season. Tickets can be purchased in advance through CNCC's new digital ticketing system at Hudl Tickets, and as always, fans can also catch the action live on the Scenic West Network.

Honoring Our Sophomores

Before Saturday's match, the Spartans will recognize their three sophomores — Faith Jensen, Kaylae Medina, and Chloe Gronewoller — for their contributions to the program both on and off the court. Each has played a key role in the continued growth and development of CNCC volleyball and has represented Spartan Athletics with pride, leadership, and heart.

Go Spartans!
