RANGELY, Colo. (October 17, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College volleyball team fell in a Scenic West Athletic Conference match Thursday.

The Lady Spartans were downed by No. 10 Salt Lake Community College, falling in three close sets by margins of 22-25, 23-25, 14-15 to fall by a set score of 3-0. The loss drops CNCC to 4-15 overall and 1-5 in Scenic West play. 

Breanna Jessop and Brilynd Pence both led the team with 8 kills. Pence also finished with a team-high 14 assists. SLCC's narrow edge in errors (23-21) made an impact as the match went on. 

Colorado Northwestern will host the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday at Hefley Gym. The scheduled start time of the match is 1:00 p.m. and the team will celebrate their annual 'Sophomore Day' during the pregame.
