8/13/2025 10:00:00 AM

RANGELY, Colo. - The wait is over, Spartan fans! Colorado Northwestern Community College Athletics is proud to announce the release of the 2025-26 Men's and Women's Basketball schedules, setting the stage for another action-packed season in Hefley Arena and across the Scenic West Athletic Conference.

Both programs will open their seasons with a strong non-conference slate before diving into the grind of SWAC play in early January.

Men's Basketball enters a new era under first-year Head Coach Jaxon Barlow, a former Spartan standout returning to Rangely to lead the program. The Spartans will tip off their home campaign on November 5 against Arizona Western College, followed by back-to-back games against Utah Prep on November 7 and 8. Conference play at home begins January 8 with a showdown against powerhouse College of Southern Idaho, quickly followed by North Idaho College on January 10. Fans can also circle February 14 on their calendars for Sophomore Day against North Idaho.

Women's Basketball, led by second-year Head Coach Stephen Carter, will open their home schedule on December 11 against Trinidad State Junior College. The team will also host College of Southern Idaho and North Idaho in the first week of SWAC play on January 8 and 10. Like the men, their Sophomore Day celebration will take place on February 14 against North Idaho College.

With multiple pre-season tournaments, tough road tests, and high-stakes SWAC matchups, both squads are gearing up for an exciting journey toward postseason play.

All home and conference games will be streamed live on the Scenic West Network, giving fans the opportunity to follow the Spartans from anywhere.
