The third inning proved to be the turning point, as CNCC erupted for six runs on five hits. Jayger Baldwin came up with a clutch bases-clearing triple, Holdren followed with an RBI double, and Deitz capped off the rally with an RBI single.

On the mound, Garrett Neiman earned the win, allowing just one unearned run over three innings while striking out three. Gage Adams came in to shut the door, tossing two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.

Game two saw Brent Holdren put together a stellar all-around performance, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple and two singles to lead the Spartans to an 11-0 shutout victory.

CNCC wasted no time jumping on their opponent, scoring eight runs in the first inning. Javier Gaeta got things rolling with an RBI double, followed by RBI singles from Dominic Gonzales and Diego Deleon, who drove in two runs. CNCC closed out the series with another shutout, blanking Southern Utah University Club 6-0 behind dominant pitching and a well-balanced offensive attack.

Defensively, CNCC was flawless, committing zero errors, with Perez leading the team with 10 putouts.

Coach McCollum's Thoughts on the Series

"This was a good weekend for our guys," said Head Coach Lou McCollum. "We played complete baseball in all three games—solid pitching, strong defense, and a balanced offensive attack. There is still so much work to do, but it's great to see our guys executing in all facets of the game, and this is exactly the type of momentum we want to carry into our upcoming series."

Looking Ahead

The Spartans now turn their focus to their upcoming series against Northeastern Junior College, looking to keep their winning streak alive.
