The Scenic West Athletic Conference (SWAC) has released its 2025 All-Conference teams, and Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) is proud to announce that Jake Cook and Michael Deitz have been named to the 2nd Team All-Conference roster.

Both student-athletes were instrumental in leading the Spartans through a competitive season that culminated in a Region 18 Tournament appearance. Their recognition is a reflection of not only their individual talent, but the continued rise of the CNCC baseball program.

Jake Cook, a sophomore catcher and outfielder, was a consistent force behind the plate and in the lineup. Known for his leadership, game management, and ability to produce in key moments, Cook anchored the Spartans on both sides of the ball. He has committed to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado, where he will continue his academic and athletic career.

Michael Deitz, a sophomore first baseman and power hitter, had a breakout season at the plate, delivering big hits and establishing himself as a run producer in the heart of the lineup. His season was highlighted by a dramatic walk-off grand slam on Sophomore Day. Deitz is committed to Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he will also continue his education and playing career.

"Jake and Michael earned this recognition through their hard work, competitiveness, and commitment to the team," said Head Coach Lou McCollum. "These two are great ballplayers, but even better people. I'm proud of them, and I'm excited to see what's next for both of them."

Their All-Conference honors and four-year university commitments mark the next step in their baseball journeys and serve as a proud moment for the CNCC program.
