Box Score RANGELY, Colo. (February 7, 2023) - The Southern California sun proved to be the perfect addition for the Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team Tuesday.
 
Starting an arduous four games-in-five days stretch, the Lady Spartans earned a 78-72 win over Community Christian College, opening a three-game set with the Lady Crusaders in winning fashion. The win boosts Colorado Northwestern to 6-15 overall and 2-10 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
 
CNCC started slow but erupted on a 30-11 run in the second quarter, going 12-of-19 from the field and a perfect 4-of-4 from three-point range, to take a 39-27 lead at halftime. Community Christian went just 11-of-24 at the free-throw line in the loss.
 
Jessie Ford led all scorers, finishing with 31 points. Eva Kingston scored 18 points, while Carolynn Washington stuffed the stat sheet with 7 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds.
 
Colorado Northwestern will face off against CCC again on Wednesday.
