RANGELY, Colo. (February 18, 2022) – A famous saying is to 'save the best for last'. But how about saving the most challenging for last?
 
The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team will gain the total meaning of that idea this weekend, with the Lady Spartans playing three games-in-three days. CNCC lost the second game of that stretch Friday, falling 80-39 to Salt Lake Community College. The loss drops CNCC to 8-19 overall and 3-14 in Scenic West Athletic Conference games.
 
Colorado Northwestern and Salt Lake were actually tied at 8-8 after the first quarter, prior to the Bruins going on a 24-15 scoring run in the second quarter to take control of the game. CNCC did play good perimeter defense in the loss, limiting SLCC to just a 7-of-31 performance from three-point range.
 
Khia Lee and Keely Porter both finished with 11 points to lead the Lady Spartans. Aiesha Feagins posted 8 points in the loss. 
 
CNCC will play Salt Lake again on Saturday.
