Box Score RANGELY, Colo. (December 3, 2022) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team may have won its 'Bruin Classic' finale Saturday, but that doesn't tell the whole story.
 
CNCC won a 85-76 decision over Northwest College to close the tournament, and the Lady Spartans will surely carry positive vibes back to Rangely with them after going 2-0 in the tournament. Colorado Northwestern is now 4-5 overall.
 
The Lady Spartans started strong, posting a 21-16 lead after the first quarter. Trailing 41-36 at halftime, CNCC outscored Northwest 49-37 in the second half to roll away with the win. Colorado Northwestern shot 54.5 percent from the field in the game.
 
Hailey Long had a highlight performance, scoring 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting and securing 10 rebounds! Sofia Mokofisi also had 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Carolynn Washington contributed 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. 
 
Colorado Northwestern will return to play on December 14, traveling to play at Salt Lake CC.
