Box Score RANGELY, Colo. (November 12, 2022) – A strong performance in the second quarter lifted the Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team to a non-conference win Saturday.
 
CNCC earned an 81-63 win over Central Wyoming College, outscoring CWC 21-5 in the second quarter to earn the victory. The Lady Spartans are now 2-2 overall.
 
After holding a narrow 23-21 lead after the first quarter, CNCC took control of the game with a dominant performance in the paint, scoring 40 points-in-the-paint. The Lady Spartans also forced 28 Central Wyoming turnovers in the win.
 
Multiple Lady Spartans contributed to the win. Hailey Long had a monster performance, posting 36 points on 12-of-18 shooting and 13 rebounds. Jessie Ford contributed 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. Sofia Mokofisi posted 10 points and 2 rebounds. Carolynn Washington contributed 9 points, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Emma Jimenez posted 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals. 
 
Colorado Northwestern will host Western Wyoming on November 22.
