CNCC Softball swept in CSN series finale

RANGELY, Colo. (March 20, 2021) – A blustery day matched the results for the Colorado Northwestern Community College softball team Saturday.
 
The Lady Spartans fell in both games of a doubleheader against the visiting College of Southern Nevada, falling 28-4 and 9-0 to the Lady Coyotes. CNCC is now 0-22 overall and 0-12 in Scenic West play.
 
Colorado Northwestern will play at the College of Southern Idaho next weekend. 
 
Southern Nevada 28, Colorado Northwestern 4: Sami Cresse hit a home run to highlight for the Lady Spartans in game one.
 
CSN posted five runs in the top of the first inning, with CNCC cutting into the deficit with a pair of runs. However, Southern Nevada powered to 13 runs in the second inning, earning the win. 
 
Shelby Blake earned the pitching loss. 
 
Southern Nevada 9, Colorado Northwestern 0: The Lady Spartans struggled offensively in a game-two loss.
 
CNCC mustered just a pair of hits in the game, with Sam Farris going 1-of-2 at the plate.
