CNCC Softball Ends Season with Back-to-Back Victories Against Snow College

Rangely, CO - The Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) softball team closed out their season in impressive fashion, securing victories in both games of a doubleheader against Snow College on Friday. The Spartans displayed grit, determination, and resilience as they rallied together to split the final four-game series of the year.

In the first game, CNCC set the tone early with a convincing 7-2 win over Snow College. Chaytlyn Dodge delivered a stellar performance on the mound, pitching a complete game and earning the win for the Spartans. Dodge also made significant contributions at the plate, going 2 for 4 with an RBI, showcasing her versatility as a key player for CNCC.

Aly Ciurca shone brightly in the leadoff spot, leading the offensive charge by going 3 for 4 with 2 RBI while exhibiting stellar defensive skills in center field. Tori Campos added to the Spartans' offensive onslaught, going 2 for 3 with 3 RBI and delivering a standout defensive performance at shortstop.

In the second game of the doubleheader, CNCC continued their winning ways with an 11-9 triumph over Snow College. Kaily Gull took the mound for the Spartans and delivered another complete game, earning the win and showcasing her prowess as a pitcher. Gull also made a significant impact at the plate, blasting a crucial 3-run home run in the third inning and tallying 4 RBI in the game.

Once again, Ciurca stood out in the leadoff spot, going 3 for 4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored, while Campos continued to excel, contributing both offensively and defensively. Chaytlyn Dodge and Taiah Wilson also made significant offensive contributions, with Dodge going 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored, and Wilson going 2 for 4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Throughout the season, the CNCC softball team faced adversity and challenges, but they never wavered in their resolve. Instead, they came together as a team, supporting each other and pushing through obstacles to finish the season on a high note.
