Emmylou Clarke Elevated to Interim Head Softball Coach at CNCC

Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) is delighted to announce the appointment of Emmylou Clarke as the Interim Head Softball Coach for the upcoming season. Clarke, who served as the Assistant Coach for CNCC's softball program last season, brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to her new role.

Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Clarke's journey in softball began as a player at Louisburg College, where she showcased her talent from 2012 to 2014. She further honed her skills at Sterling College, making a significant impact from 2014 to 2017. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a Club Recreation & Fitness emphasis, Clarke seamlessly transitioned into the coaching realm, driven by her passion for the sport.

Clarke's coaching odyssey commenced in 2017-18 as an Assistant Coach at her alma mater, San Manuel HS in Tucson. This early coaching experience marked the beginning of her dedication to nurturing young talent and shaping the future of softball. From 2018 to 2020, Clarke expanded her coaching horizons by serving with DoDEA Europe in England, demonstrating her commitment to fostering softball globally.

In 2020-21, Clarke assumed the role of Hitting Coach for North County Sports Academy in San Diego, California, showcasing her expertise in honing the offensive skills of aspiring athletes. Since 2021, she has served as the Head Coach for SOZA Fastpitch Softball, a premier travel team based in Tucson, Arizona. Under her leadership, SOZA Fastpitch Softball has earned a reputation as one of Arizona's elite fast pitch travel teams, a testament to Clarke's prowess in coaching and player development.

Emmylou Clarke's multifaceted coaching experience, spanning from high school to international levels, reflects her unwavering passion for the sport and commitment to shaping the next generation of softball players. As she enters her second season with CNCC, her diverse background and coaching acumen position her as a valuable asset to the Spartan softball program.

The entire CNCC community eagerly anticipates the upcoming season under Clarke's leadership, confident that her guidance will inspire growth, development, and success both on and off the field.

CNCC will begin a nationwide search for a head softball coach in the coming weeks.
