RANGELY, Colo. (March 18, 2021) – A Scenic West Athletic Conference game with a nationally-ranked foe ended in a loss for the Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team.
CNCC picked up a 109-79 loss to No. 14 Salt Lake Community College, falling behind early. The loss drops Colorado Northwestern to 2-16 overall and 1-11 in Scenic West play.
The Spartans trailed 54-39 at halftime, with Salt Lake shooting 59.4 percent from the field in the first half and 63.6 percent (7-of-11) from three-point range. CNCC's
Rhaven Brown posted an outstanding individual scoring effort, scoring 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
Seena Namdar scored18 points and
Azarien Stephens had 10 points.
Colorado Northwestern will play on the road Saturday, playing at the College of Southern Idaho.
