Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans Stymied by Bruins, Lose 9-2

Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans had a tough time generating runs on Thursday, dropping their game with Bruins 9-2. 

Bruins captured the lead in the first inning when Brody Colledge'ssac fly scored one run for Bruins. 

Bruins took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Jake Herman singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Sean Keating singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. 

Breck Eichelberger led the Bruins to victory on the mound. He went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five. Bernhardt, Conner Johnson, and Ryen Edwards all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. 

Clifford Brown took the loss for Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking one. 

Bruins hit two home runs on the day. Cole Gambill put one out in the sixth inning. Dalton Hodge went deep in the fourth inning. 

Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans totaled seven hits. Bubba Wilde and Alonzo Zuniga all had multiple hits for Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans. Zuniga and Wilde all had two hits to lead Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans. Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans didn't commit a single error in the field. Zuniga had the most chances in the field with seven. 

Bruins saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game. Cade Perkins, Keating, Herman, Gambill, and Gabe Singer each had multiple hits for Bruins. Perkins went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Bruins in hits. Bruins was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Herman had the most chances in the field with nine.
