Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans Stymied by Bruins, Lose 9-2
Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans had a tough time generating runs on Thursday, dropping their game with Bruins 9-2.
Bruins captured the lead in the first inning when Brody Colledge'ssac fly scored one run for Bruins.
Bruins took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Jake Herman singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run and Sean Keating singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Breck Eichelberger led the Bruins to victory on the mound. He went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out five. Bernhardt, Conner Johnson, and Ryen Edwards all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.
Clifford Brown took the loss for Colorado Northwestern CC Spartans. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out four and walking one.
