RANGELY, Colo. (February 10, 2020) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team will play the final weeks of the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season at home.
CNCC will host the College of Southern Idaho in a game on Thursday, followed up by facing USU Eastern on Saturday. With the Spartans' lone league win coming against CSI earlier this season, there is much excitement for the upcoming games against two opponents who CNCC has played well against.
Spartans coach
Nathan Terrin said his team is excited for the opportunity that awaits them this weekend.
"The last road test was hard and we struggled immensely but with three home games to finish the season, we are looking to finish strong," he said. "We are hoping to build some momentum into the conference tournament."
In their first matchup of the season, Colorado Northwestern earned a 90-86 win over Southern Idaho, falling to the Golden Eagles on the road in Twin Falls. CNCC is 0-2 on the season against USU Eastern, with a close 79-72 loss in their first matchup. Both USU Eastern games were played on the road.
Thursday's game against Southern Idaho is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start, with Saturday's game tipping off at 3:00 p.m. inside Hefley Gym. CNCC will close the season on Feb. 22 with Snow College.Â
