RANGELY, Colo. (January 4, 2020) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team opened Scenic West Athletic Conference play with a tough loss on Saturday.

Facing off against nationally-ranked Salt Lake Community College, the Spartans fell 109-83 to the Bruins in a SWAC road opener. The loss drops CNCC to 2-17 overall.

Dre'Quez Harvey led the team with 24 points on 6-of-14 shooting, making 9-of-11 free-throw attempts.
Rhaven Brown finished with 16 points, going a perfect 6-of-6 at the foul line.Â

Colorado Northwestern will return home to host the College of Southern Idaho on Saturday inside Hefley Gym.
