CNCC Men's Basketball heads out on road for Scenic West doubleheader

RANGELY, Colo. (January 28, 2020) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team will take to the road this week for a pair of games against regional foes.

CNCC will travel to play Southern Idaho on Thursday and USU Eastern on Saturday, with the Spartans facing the lone team they've defeated in league play and one of their closest league foes in the same week. After Colorado Northwestern defeated Southern Idaho in their first matchup of the season, the week certainly provides CNCC with opportunities after a tough loss to league-leading Salt Lake last weekend.

Spartans coach Nathan Terrin said his team is looking forward to the opportunities in front of them ahead of the weekend.

"We are definitely looking to get things back on track," he said. "We will finally have a full team and two very tough road environments to compete in. This is a big week of basketball for the Spartans."

CNCC downed Southern Idaho, 90-86, on January 11 inside Hefley Gym and fell narrowly to USU Eastern on the road, 79-72. Both teams have gone up-and-down throughout the year, with CSI, USU Eastern and CNCC separated by two games-or-less in the league standings.

The Spartans will tip off with CSI at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. CNCC returns home to play Southern Idaho on February 13.
