RANGELY, Colo. (January 15, 2020) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team is full of momentum going into a pair of Scenic West Athletic Conference rivalry games this week.
The Spartans are scheduled to host Snow College on Thursday before traveling on to face USU Eastern on the road on Saturday. After an 1-1 start to league play that included a strong home win on Saturday over Southern Idaho, CNCC is hoping to find improved results against two Scenic West programs who have had their collective ups-and-downs throughout the early open to league play.
CNCC coach
Nathan Terrin said his team is looking to improve in all areas in advance of the Snow and USU Eastern games.
"We hope to get some momentum rolling with our win over CSI," he said. "We always play well at home and another home win would build the right kind of confidence heading into some tough road environments."
A year after winning the Scenic West Athletic Conference, Snow College is 1-1 in league play after falling to Salt Lake Community College last Saturday. The Badgers are 10-10 overall. USU Eastern is 0-2 in league play, thanks to losses to both Southern Idaho and Snow early on.
Colorado Northwestern is scheduled to host Snow College at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday in Rangely's Hefley Gym, while traveling to play at USU Eastern in a 5:00 p.m. game on Saturday. The Spartans will face Salt Lake Community College on Jan. 25.
