Not only are the Spartans working hard on the softball field, they are working extremely hard in the classroom as well. On the 2018-2019 roster, 8 players have been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa for their outstanding GPA and their academic success thus far.
Jayla Weston was voted as President of the Honor Society along with
Aaliyah Brady as the Vice President. Both Jayla and Aaliyah have become leaders on the softball team and around campus. They were selected by their peers for the positions as they show great leadership skills and are vocal individuals. Along with Jayla and Aaliyah,
Erica Burkhart, Natalie Parrish,
Bri Fryer,
Madison O'Driscoll,
Alexis Valdez, and
Natalie Ziegler have been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa for a GPA over 3.5 and being an active member in their community. Being inducted into Phi Theta Kappa is a very big honor that will carry these individuals far as they transfer on to new schools and careers in the future. Being a member of PTK is a network full of community-based opportunities and scholarships available for those willing to work hard. The faculty and staff at Colorado Northwestern are proud of all individuals who have been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa and hope to see more members in the future.
