RANGELY, Colo. (December 5, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team is about to take to the road for the final weekend of action before an extended winter break.
The Spartans will travel to play at Western Wyoming on Friday, Dec., 6, before traveling to play at Central Wyoming on Saturday, Dec. 7. CNCCÂ picked up a win over Dakota College at Bottineau last weekend and is appearing to be on the upswing after several competitive games against traditionally-strong programs over the past few weekends.
Western Wyoming has started the 2019-20 season at 8-2 overall, coming off a loss to Scenic West rival Salt Lake Community College last weekend. The Mustangs also hold wins over league foes such as Snow College and USU Eastern. WWCC earned a narrow 88-76 win over CNCC earlier this season in tournament action.
Colorado Northwestern will face Central Wyoming for the second time this season, a week after falling to CWC 95-85 in preseason play. Central Wyoming is 4-3 against the Scenic West Athletic Conference in preseason play.
Friday's game against Western Wyoming is scheduled to begin in the afternoon, with a 2:00 p.m. tip time against Central Wyoming on Saturday. The Spartans will then be off until playing in a Pima Community College tourney in late December.Â
