RANGELY, Colo. (December 28, 2019) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team returned from the holiday break with a tough loss on Saturday.
 
Playing in a preseason tournament hosted by Pima Community College, the Spartans fell 74-72 to Central Arizona. The loss drops CNCC's overall record to 2-14.
 
The two teams were tied at 31-31 at halftime before Central Arizona narrowly edged CNCC late in the game. The Vaqueros shot 46.8 percent from the field in the game. 

Colorado Northwestern will play a game on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. against Cochise College.
