RANGELY, Colo. (October 5, 2019) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College team returned home for its annual 'Red Out' match, full of excitement for playing its home-opening match. 

Unfortunately for the Lady Spartans, CNCC was downed inside Hefley Gym by nationally-ranked USU Eastern, falling by a margin of 3-0. The loss drops Colorado Northwestern to 3-12 overall and 0-3 in Scenic West play.

Elizae Hawkins led Colorado Northwestern with 8 kills. Maddie Schneider finished with 11 assists in the match. CNCC had a team-total of 23 kills. 

The Lady Spartans will take to the road next week for a non-conference match against Western Wyoming Community College, followed up by home matches against No. 6 Snow College and the College of Southern Nevada. CNCC will host Snow on Thursday and Southern Nevada on Saturday inside Hefley Gym.
