The Spartans outlast the Eagles at Home

David Riley puts the final exclamation on the win.

Rangely, CO -  The Spartans Defeated Eagles of Utah State University-Eastern 85-70 on Saturday Evening in the Confines of the Hefley Gymnasium. 

The Spartans were led by Freshmen Anthony Mera and DreQuez Harvey both with 14 points. Sophomore Captain David Riley also added 10 points and led all players with 9 rebounds. 

The final score doesn't do justice to the battle that took place. The Eagles,  led by 30 points from Freshman Guard Blaze Nield fought to gain the lead several times throughout the second half. The Spartans however were able to gain the lead and pull away for the victory in the final mins of the game.

This is Coach Terrin's first Conference win and the teams 6th overall for the season.  

The Spartans who's record now moves to 6-15 Look to Take on College of Southern Idaho at home on Thursday  while the Eagles record falls to 15-8 and will take on Salt Lake Community College this Thursday at Home.
