The CNCC Spartan Cross Country team had an impressive showing this weekend at the Ted Castaneda Invitational in Colorado Springs, hosted by Colorado College. With perfect weather and a stunning course, the Spartans demonstrated grit, heart, and determination from start to finish.

Men's Team

The men's squad has been training hard, and it showed. Cade Webster led the way with a composed, confident race that resulted in a major personal record. Right behind him was Garrett Peterson, who is redshirting this season while recovering from injury. His strong performance underscored the potential for an impactful return in the future.

Issiah Simms turned in a steady effort despite coming off a demanding week of training, setting himself up for bigger breakthroughs in the weeks ahead. Karlis Strautins, Travis Lewis, and Steven Zaragoza all ran smooth, controlled races and closed with strong finishes, highlighting the growing depth and drive of this Spartan squad.

Women's Team

On the women's side, Bella Nunez represented the Lady Spartans with pride, posting a personal best in her 4K race. Her consistent improvement continues to build momentum as she grows stronger each meet.
