RANGELY, Colo. (February 8, 2023) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Men's Basketball team has notched its first Scenic West Athletic Conference wins of the season, thanks to a pair of road victories.
 
Playing a three-game series at Community Christian College in Southern California, the Spartans posted a dominant 74-57 win over the Crusaders Tuesday, followed up with an 88-60 win Wednesday. The victories lift CNCC to 4-20 overall and 1-11 in Scenic West play.
 
Donovan Maestas led the Spartans with 26 points in the Tuesday win, while Knowledge Ruben had 15 points. Sebastian Dosa finished with 11 points. Maestas again led CNCC with 22 points on Wednesday, while Tommy Huynh posted 19 points. Pablo Torres also had 14 points in the win.
 
Colorado Northwestern will look for the season sweep against Community Christian in a game Thursday.
