RANGELY, Colo. (September 1, 2022) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Soccer team earned a hard-fought tie in its Scenic West Athletic Conference opener Thursday.

CNCC came to a 2-2 decision with the College of Southern Nevada. The Lady Spartans are now 1-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in Scenic West matches.

After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Colorado Northwestern jumped out to score a pair of goals in the second half to take control of the match. Jaquelyn Solis scored in the 53
rd minute to tie the match, while
Annie Alder scored a go-ahead goal in the 87
th minute. CSN scored in the 89
th minute to tie the match, where the two teams then came to a stalemate after the overtime periods.

Cadence Young led CNCC by taking seven shots in the match. Solis Monti and
Sydney Worthington both took four shots each. Lady Spartans goalkeeper
Emma Swain made four saves.Â

Colorado Northwestern will close its road swing this weekend with a match on Saturday at Community Christian.
