RANGELY, Colo. — The Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) Women's Soccer team etched its name into the record books this fall, completing the most successful season in program history under Head Coach Eldon Brough.
The Spartans finished the 2025 season with a 10–7–1 overall record, including eight conference victories — both program records. CNCC also tied for third place in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings with 25 points, marking the program's highest-ever finish.
"This team has completely redefined what CNCC Women's Soccer can be," said Coach Brough. "They've raised the standard, not only for this program but for CNCC Athletics as a whole. Their effort, belief, and growth this year were incredible to watch."
A Season of Firsts
The Spartans shattered multiple single-season program records, including:
-
Most Wins: 10
-
Most Conference Wins: 8 (+3 from previous best)
-
Most Goals Scored: 60 (highest in the Scenic West)
-
Most Shutouts: 7
-
Best Goal Differential: +31
CNCC also earned historic first wins over North Idaho College, Truckee Meadows Community College, and College of Southern Idaho, while handing #4-ranked Salt Lake Community College its only regular season loss — a defining moment in an unforgettable year.
Postseason Success and All-Conference Recognition
The Spartans' record-setting performance earned them a second consecutive postseason berth, where they competed in the Region 18 Tournament.
Following the season, CNCC placed a record six players on the All-Scenic West Conference Team, the most in program history:
Wittwer, Harris, and Warner formed one of the most dynamic attacking trios in the conference, combining for over 30 goals on the season.
Several Spartans also earned Player of the Week honors during the year, including Amelia Warner, Jasmine Hernandez, and Lilly Wittwer, further showcasing the talent and depth of CNCC's roster.
"This group accomplished so many firsts — from wins to records to postseason success," Brough said. "They've built a legacy that future Spartans will look up to."
Building a Legacy
With back-to-back postseason appearances, record-setting numbers, and a growing culture of excellence, the CNCC Women's Soccer program continues to rise among the Scenic West's elite.
The 2025 season will be remembered not only for its achievements on the field but also for the team's unity, resilience, and the foundation it has set for the years ahead.
