RANGELY, Colo. (December 14, 2022) – The opening of Scenic West Athletic Conference play was tough for the Colorado Northwestern Community College Men's Basketball team Wednesday.
 
CNCC opened league play on the road at No. 1 Salt Lake Community College, falling in a 118-65 decision. The Spartans are now 2-10 overall and 0-1 in Scenic West play.
 
Pablo Torres led CNCC with 15 points, while Donovan Maestas had 11 points. Knowledge Ruben posted 10 points.
 
Colorado Northwestern will continue league play on Saturday, facing off against Snow College.
