RANGELY, Colo. (September 26, 2022) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Athletic Department will be very busy this weekend.
CNCC Soccer will have a pair of matches on the road, facing off against USU Eastern and Salt Lake Community College. Lady Spartans Volleyball will play against Southern Nevada and Snow College, while CNCC Rodeo will host its own 'Spartan Showdown' rodeo this weekend.

Rodeo: The CNCC Rodeo team will host its own competition this weekend in Craig, hosting the 'CNCC Spartan Showdown Rodeo'.
Action will take place in Craig at the Moffat County Fairgrounds on both Friday and Saturday, with Barrel Racing starting at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The other events will start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, with the top riders competing at 6:00 p.m. for the top prizes.
Soccer: A full weekend of competition lies ahead for the Colorado Northwestern Community College Soccer teams.
CNCC will play matches at both USU Eastern and Salt Lake Community College, looking to gain momentum as the programs head into the final weeks of the Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule. The Spartans and Lady Spartans will return home on Saturday, October 8.
Volleyball: CNCC Volleyball will host a pair of home matches inside Hefley Gym this weekend, facing off against two Scenic West Athletic Conference competitors.
Colorado Northwestern will host the College of Southern Nevada Friday, then will play against Snow College on Saturday. Snow is ranked at No. 5 in the NJCAA polls, and CSN earned a win over longtime Scenic West power Southern Idaho last weekend at home.

Melissa Hardman said her program is looking forward to this weekend's matches.
"We will have some good competition and will need to focus on strengthening our weakness and keep our strengths strong," she said. "The focus does not change for us. We will continue to work to get at least one percent better every day. We will continue to keep a positive mindset and grow mentally and physically stronger."
