RANGELY, Colo. (February 5, 2022) – In the face of adversity, the Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team keeps playing games.

Unfortunately for CNCC, a shorthanded roster showed with the Lady Spartans falling in a 91-76 game at the College of Southern Nevada. Colorado Northwestern is now 7-15 overall and 2-10 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play with the loss.

The Lady Spartans jumped out to a fast start, actually taking a 22-20 advantage after a first quarter. Unfortunately, CSN's defense picked up in the middle quarters, with Colorado Northwestern being outscored 51-25 in that period. Interior play told the story of the game, with CSN holding a 64-38 rebounding advantage and a CSN scoring 26 points-in-the-paint.

Adelyn Wells finished with 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting to lead CNCC, while
Erin Mauro scored 15 points.
Ashana Hinds finished with 14 points and
Aiesha Feagins had 11 points.Â

The Lady Spartans are scheduled for a two-game homestand next week inside Hefley Gym, starting with a game against Snow College on Thursday.Â
