RANGELY, Colo. (January 21, 2022) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball program picked up an impressive home win Friday.
 
Playing Community Christian College for the second consecutive evening, the Lady Spartans earned a 73-62 win over CCC, splitting the back-to-back series at 1-1. CNCC is now 7-12 overall and 2-7 in league play.
 
The Lady Spartans jumped out in impressive fashion, rolling to a 23-15 lead after the first quarter and then moving to take a 37-22 halftime lead. CNCC's defense was stifling, forcing CCC to go just 9-of-37 from the field in the first half. Community Christian committed 21 turnovers in the game.
 
Chyenne Palmore posted a double-double of 14 points and 15 rebounds to lead CNCC, while Ashana Hinds scored 12 points. Rebecca Fraley and Erin Mauro both posted 11 points in the win, with Mauro also contributing 11 rebounds. 
 
CNCC will host the College of Southern Nevada in a game at Hefley Gym on Saturday.
