RANGELY,  Colo. (January 20, 2022) – A shorthanded Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team lost a Scenic West Athletic Conference home game Thursday.
 
CNCC dropped a 69-58 game to Community Christian College at Hefley Gym, getting outscored 21-9 by CCC in the fourth quarter. The Lady Spartans are now 6-12 overall and 1-7 in Scenic West play with the loss.
 
CNCC and Community Christian both battled throughout the game, with the Lady Spartans holding a narrow 49-48 lead entering the final period. Community Christian limited CNCC to just 2-of-27 shooting in the final quarter to earn the win. 
 
Ashana Hinds led Colorado Northwestern with 15 points, while Erin Mauro posted 11 points. Rebecca Fraley had a total of 10 points in the loss.
 
The Lady Spartans and Community Christian will play again Friday, starting at 5:00 p.m. CNCC will play Southern Nevada in a Scenic West game Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start inside Hefley Gym.
