RANGELY, Colo. (February 27, 2021) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College men's basketball team lost a Scenic West Athletic Conference home game Saturday.
The Spartans were downed by the College of Southern Nevada Saturday, falling as the Coyotes picked up their first league win by a final score of 76-69. The loss drops CNCC to 2-10 overall and 1-5 in league standings.
Colorado Northwestern led at halftime, 36-30, before CSN outscored the Spartans by a margin of 46-33 in the second half. CNCC committed 19 turnovers in the loss, shooting just 35.5 percent.
Trevon Cason led the Spartans with 16 points, while
Azarien Stephens scored 14 points.
Chuol Deng-Wal finished with 11 points and
Landon Bowman scored 10 points.
Colorado Northwestern will host the College of Southern Nevada in a game Sunday inside Hefley Gym.
