RANGELY, Colo. (December 2, 2021) – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team had an impressive-albeit-disappointing debut in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Thursday.

CNCC opened their league schedule with a narrow 77-72 loss at Snow College, coming back from an early deficit but falling short late. The Lady Spartans are now 5-4 overall and 0-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

After a disappointing first quarter, where CNCC trailed 29-12, the Lady Spartans fought back to cut the deficit to 60-57 entering the final quarter. Action caught fire in the fourth quarter, with CNCC tying the game at 66-66 on a pair of
Courtnie West free-throws with 2:54 remaining. Unfortunately, Snow made several foul shots late to power to the victory.

Ashana Hinds led CNCC with 19 points, while
Erin Mauro contributed 13 points.
Aiesha Feagins had 12 points in the loss.

Colorado Northwestern will travel to play at Southern Nevada on Saturday.
