RANGELY, Colo. (December 18, 2021) – Late-game heroics lifted the Colorado Northwestern Community College Men's Basketball to a Scenic West Athletic Conference victory Saturday, providing a boost to the program's holiday spirits.

Yes indeed, CNCC will head into a break with cheer, thanks to a 79-76 road win at USU Eastern. A series of late free-throws lifted the Spartans to the win, along with lifting CNCC's overall record to 4-9 and a mark of 2-4 in the Scenic West.

In a game that featured five lead changes, CNCC held a narrow 38-36 lead at halftime, building the lead up to 13 points – 74-61 – with just 4:51 remaining. From there, USU Eastern went on a run to bring the score to 76-74 with just 49 seconds left in regulation. CNCC's Trevon Cason then iced the game at the free-throw line, hitting three late foul shots to send the Spartans to the road win.
