RANGELY, Colo. (November 1, 2021) - The Colorado Northwestern Community College Men's Basketball program opened the season with a road loss Monday. 

CNCC fell in a non-conference game at Western Wyoming Community College, falling 96-79 after narrowly trailing at halftime. CNCC and WWCC were in a tight battle at the halftime break, with Western Wyoming leading just 43-41.

Colorado Northwestern shot a respectable 46.4 percent from the field, making 17-of-23 free-throw attempts. Jaden Stoffel finished with 25 points, while Trevon Cason scored 20 points.

The Spartans will travel to play in a tournament this weekend in Idaho. The tourney will be hosted by Scenic West rival Southern Idaho.
