Colorado Northwestern Spartans traveled to Gillette, Wyoming to play in the Hladky Holiday Classic Dec. 8 & 9,2017.

The score was tied at 17 apiece at the end of the first quarter. Soph Kallie Taylor(Riverton, UT) and Freshman Brittany Gomez(San Antonio, TX) each came up big hitting key shots from the perimeter. The Spartans took a 6 point lead into the halftime break. Taylor continued her hot shooting in the second half but foul trouble from freshman forward Nakeva Mack(Tucson, AZ) and Soph. guard Alyssa Nielsen(Duchesne, UT) proved costly down the stretch as the Spartans fell 68-60. Leading all scoring in the game was Soph. Kallie Taylor(Riverton, UT) with 21 points. Joining Taylor in double digits for the Spartans were Soph. Alyssa Nielsen(Duchesne, UT) 10pts. and Freshman Nakeva Mack(Tucson, AZ) 13pts.
The Spartans will face Little Big Horn College on Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at 2pm to finish out the Hladky Holiday Classic.
