Rangely, Colo. –The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball program signed five new student-athletes to a Letter of Intent last week. CNCC's new additions come from Colorado and Utah, and will add immediate depth in the post and on the perimeter.
"I'm very excited about our new signees for the 2015-16 season," said second-year Head Coach
Brian Ortmeier. "This is a very talented group. They have all been successful on the court and in the classroom during their High School careers and I'm looking forward to having them join the Lady Spartans."
2015-16 Colorado Northwestern CC Signees:Taylor Martin -6-0 post (Eagle Valley High School, CO) The Colorado native averaged 10 points and 9 rebounds per game during her senior season at Eagle Valley High School. Taylor was also a First-Team Class 4A Western Slope All-League selection.
Shelby Harvey –6-2 post/forward (Roy High School, UT) The 6-2 interior player from Roy High School finished her career with a 15 point performance in the first round of the 4A Utah State Tournament. Shelby averaged 10 points per game during her senior season and was selected as a member to the Class 4A Region 5 All-Region First Team.
Kelsey Harvey – 6-1 guard (Roy High School, UT) The 6-1 guard was selected to the Class 4A Region 5 Honorable Mention Team. She averaged 8 points and 3 rebounds per game during her senior season at Roy High School.
Taylor Thomas – 5-10 guard (Tooele High School, UT) The 5-10 guard from Tooele, UT averaged 11 points per game during her senior season. Taylor was also selected as a participant in the Utah Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game as a member of the 3A team.
Megan Erickson – 6-0 post/forward (Lone Peak High School, UT) The 6-0 interior player from Lone Peak High School in Utah was a State Tournament Qualifier this past season helping lead her team to the Semifinals. Megan averaged 4 pts per game and was a key contributor in rebounding and on defense for the Knights.
