RANGELY, Colorado – The Colorado Northwestern Community College Women's Basketball team went 2-1 at the Coach USA Classic in Gillette, WY. CNCC opened the three day event against the host team Gillette Community College.
The Lady Spartans lost a close game to Gillette CC in their opener 71-61. CNCC had a two point lead heading into the 4
th quarter, but was unable to hold on due to several turnovers and a big free throw shooting differential down the stretch. The Lady Spartans were out shot from the free throw line 27 attempts (Gillette) to 6 (CNCC) for the game. CNCC also finished the game with 28 turnovers as a team.
Cylee Tuimaunei led CNCC in scoring with 12 points (5-9 FGA). Also contributing to CNCC's scoring were

Kelsey Harvey led the Lady Spartans with seven rebounds and Rodriguez led the team in assists with four.
