RANGELY, Colorado – On day two of the Husky Classic, CNCC bounced back nicely with a 73-32 win over Adams State University JV. The Lady Spartans jumped on ASU with a 24-7 lead to start the 1
st quarter. CNCC pushed their lead to 44-17 heading into halftime and never looked back on their way to a 41 point victory.
The Lady Spartans were once again successful with a balanced offensive attack as 10 players contributed to CNCC's scoring. CNCC shot over 52% for the game on 27-51 shooting from the field. Tallying points for CNCC were

Cylee Tuimaunei (10 points),
Kelsey Harvey (10 points),
Tyra Rodriguez (8 points),
Megan Erickson (5 points),
Rachel Prescott (5 points),

Kanani Naipo (4 points), and
Rylee Thompson (2 points). Tuimaunei collected her first double-double of the season with a team leading 11 rebounds to go along with her 10 points. Rodriguez and
Taylor Thomas also chipped in seven rebounds apiece. Thompson also had a strong game with four assists and six rebounds.
The Lady Spartans (3-1 overall) look to build on their momentum as they travel to Gillette, Wyoming, this weekend for three games. CNCC will play Gillette Community College at 5:30 PM on Thursday, the Wyoming All-Stars at 1:30 PM on Friday, and United Tribes Technical College on Saturday at 1:30 PM to round out the weekend.
