Coach Marki Grant enters her first year as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country Coach at Colorado Northwestern Community College, bringing a passion for running, student-athlete development, and building competitive programs from the ground up.
Originally from Meeker, Colorado, Coach Grant has an extensive background as both a competitive runner and a coach. She has spent her career fostering environments where student-athletes can excel both athletically and academically, emphasizing hard work, discipline, and a love for the sport. Grant is committed to developing a program at CNCC that reflects these values while building a strong presence in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
Her coaching philosophy centers on athlete growth, teamwork, and consistency. Under her leadership, the CNCC cross-country teams aim to compete at a high level while cultivating a culture of resilience, dedication, and community.
Coach Grant is excited to lead the Spartans into a new era of cross-country and is eager to help her athletes achieve success on the course, in the classroom, and in life.
Coach Grant lives in Meeker, CO with her husband Trevor and their three children.
