Bio:
Corley Lewallen is a freshman at CNCC, originally from the small town of Wall, Texas. She moved to Corpus Christi during junior high, where she attended London Junior High and High School until graduation. The transition was made easier by the support of her older brother, who is now working, and the unwavering love and encouragement from her parents, which helped her adjust to a new environment and navigate her way through school.

In high school, Corley started as an “all-around athlete,” competing in cross country, track, softball, and basketball. Over time, she decided to focus on her true passion: basketball. Corley’s high school basketball career was marked by numerous accolades, including 2nd Team All-District honors in her freshman year, 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-South Texas in her sophomore year, and District MVP in both her junior and senior years. She was also named 1st Team All-South Texas and finished her high school career with approximately 1,850 points.

One of Corley’s favorite memories from her basketball career occurred during her freshman year in a particularly intense game. She recalls playfully tugging on an opponent's shorts while on defense, which led to some trash-talking and a close victory by just 2 points. However, the highlight of that day was when young kids asked for her autograph, making her feel proud to be a female athlete inspiring the next generation. Corley’s goal for her basketball career is to grow to be the best player she can be and to spread her love for the game to others.
